Leechburg Borough Combined Sewer Separation Project
Leechburg Borough, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania
Work includes the installation of approximately 15,000 LF of sanitary sewer pipe of various sizes, 66 manholes and connecting of approximately 300 service laterals. All work to be completed within existing road rights-of-way. The total service area is approximately 90 acres
Project Goals :
Currently the C.S.O. that will be eliminated by this project discharges at a location which attracts various types of recreational activities. These include swimming, fishing, canoeing and kayaking. Improved water quality will reduce the probability of disease transmission from pathogens present in raw sewage discharges
