Sealed proposal, without an escalator clause, will be received by the Borough of Braddock Hills, 1300 Brinton Road, Braddock Hills, PA  15221 until 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 10, 2010.  Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately thereafter for the 2010 STREETS IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM for various Borough streets.

Work to include approximately 6,700 SY wearing, 124 TONS binder course, 6,700 SY milling, 200 LF 15” storm line and appurtenant items.

Plans, Specifications, Form of Contract, Instructions to Bidders and Proposal Forms may be obtained at Senate Engineering Company, U-PARC, 420 William Pitt Way, Pittsburgh, PA 15238 (412)826-5454.  A non-refundable deposit of $30.00 for reproduction and binding of the specifications and plans will be required.

Proposal must be upon the forms furnished by the Borough of Braddock and must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, in the form attached to the Contract Documents, in the amount of 10% of the bid, made payable to the Borough of Braddock Hills.  All envelopes containing bid proposal shall be clearly marked “PROPOSAL FOR: 2010 STREETS IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM”.

Attention is called to the fact that compliance with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry prevailing Minimum Wage Predetermination may be required if total contact cost exceeds $25,000.00.

The Borough of Braddock Hills reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all proposals, for any reason whatsoever.
